Every year, adults seem to be saying, “This year is going so fast!”
But, this year really does seem to be flying by! How can it already be December?!
November felt a bit like a whirlwind for me between traveling, the holidays and prepping for some December travels, but it was, nonetheless, a pretty wonderful month to take a deep breath in the quietness before the festive season kicks off.
Here’s what I loved this month.

#1: A Holiday Classic
I’m a firm no holiday decorations till after Thanksgiving person.
When the clock strokes midnight on the Friday afterwards though… I am ready to embrace the holidays with the warmest of hugs.
One such embrace is by easing into classic Christmas movies. One favorite in my family is the 1947 classic of Miracle on 34th Street. Taking place right on Thanksgiving, it feels like a great transition from November to December… plus, what a great story!
#2: A Refreshing Take
With the holidays here, many encounter unwanted questions by (oftentimes) well-meaning family and friends about your life. Usually they start with “Why” or “When”.
I stumbled upon this great discussion between Jay Shetty and his wife Radhi about one of these questions people often get asked a lot this time of year… “When are you having kids?”
It’s truly such a refreshing take on the conversation… whether you want children or not.
#3: Ode to the Black Cat
My mom sent me this great video of a black cat in the Netherlands on the “police” force.
If you are in Amsterdam, keep an eye out for this little fellow!
#4: Comfiest Pajamas
I recently got two sets of these pajamas, and I am loving them. Super comfy and great for winter/late autumn with that colder chill in the air.
#5: Christmas Adverts
I feel like British advertisements are just so much better. It even starts with the name— “adverts” —doesn’t that sound so much cooler than advertisements?
Here are two of my favorites I’ve seen this year.
